2012 GO GO Gala – Our Best Yet!

The 5th Annual GO GO Gala, held on November 14 at the Montage Beverly Hills, was our most successful Gala to date, raising over a half million dollars for orphans and vulnerable children around the world. The evening included performances by Joel Virgel, Masood Ali Khan & Sheela Bringi, an original dance choreographed by Sarah Elgart, a rousing live auction, and a special gift presentation from Robert F. Kennedy’s grandchildren, Kick and Summer Kennedy, to Mr. Sumner Redstone, Chairman of Viacom and CBS, in recognition of two schools that were built in Cambodia with the donation he made at the 2011 GO GO Gala.

Hosted by writer/actor/producer/director Mike White, produced by Fire and Creme and attended by 240 generous supporters, the evening honored local heroes around the world and included impact testimonies from Venerable Somieng Hoeurn from Cambodia and Dr. Nina Smart from Sierra Leone. 100% of proceeds from the Gala go to grassroots programs for children, including support for a center for Native American youth in New Mexico, renovating a home for 150 handicapped children in Kenya, support for two income-generating orphan homes in South Africa, building schools for indigenous communities in Mexico in partnership with the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights, and much more.
