We recently raised $1,750 to provide the students and teachers at Gyanjyoty Academy with a water filtration system to provide clean drinking water for the 280 students so they no longer suffer from intestinal and respiratory infections and can stand the 118 degree Fahrenheit temperatures.
The 35 orphan children Gyanjyoty Academy needs our help once again. Due to loss of income during the COVID-19 lockdown, they have lost some of their biggest supporters. Their food supply is expected to run out in a matter of days.
Just $935 per month will provide 3 meals daily to all the children.
Thank you for making such an important difference in their lives!
Gyanjyoty Academy was started in 2008 in Bodhgaya under a Banyan tree. The school was started primarily for the local street children who were beggars and laborers and most at-risk of exploitation and child abuse. Their mission is to empower underprivileged children and youth through relevant education, innovative healthcare and market-focused livelihood program.
