Stars from stage and screen turned out on Sunday 26 October to celebrate the launch of a chocolate bar created by FIKA in aid of GO Campaign.
Friends of GO attended the matinee performance of Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing on Broadway, followed by a reception for GO Campaign hosted by the play’s star Ewan McGregor and his wife Eve at FIKA NYC.
In addition to Ewan and his castmates, including Josh Hamilton, other guests included film and TV star Tate Donovan, film director Adam Shankman, CNN Hero Marie da Silva, and Clinton Global Citizen Award Winner Ruchira Gupta who will be honored at GO Campaign’s annual GO GO Gala in Beverly Hills on November 13.
The glamorous event at FIKA’s Bryant Park location in New York featured a Swedish inspired menu, JUSTIN Landmark wines, and hand-crafted gourmet chocolates made especially for the occasion by FIKA’s award-winning chocolatier Håkan Mårtensson.
FIKA has created a limited edition dark chocolate bar on sale in its stores in New York and online. Fifty percent of sales of the bar will go to GO Campaign. This event was just the first in what we hope will be a long tradition of NYC events hosted by FIKA to help improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world.
