Johnson Nkosi Memorial Primary School, Uganda
Semakula Sarah is a dedicated social worker and teacher. Together with other inspired educators, she founded the Johnson Nkosi Memorial Primary School. They believed education was an opportunity for the children in their community, many of whom were affected or orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Uganda. Sarah is passionate about sustainability, and includes agriculture and craftmaking into their curriculum and operations. She feels rewarded when her school children learn and are effective contributors to the community at large.
