Watoto CIAO Trust, Kenya
Simon is a Kenyan native. His passion for helping people has been evident throughout his professional career. He studied for Social Services in university in Uganda, and today has his Master’s degree in counseling psychology. His work is driven by his passion to bring together individuals of all different backgrounds (of race, religion, abilities, etc.) and create a stronger community. He has previously worked for the Catholic Parish in Dandora, overseeing the health, elderly, and family care programming. At Watoto CIAO, Simon coordinates all the organization’s programs and activities. Simon’s vision for Watoto CIAO includes mobilizing the community to participate and support children with disabilities. He believes in doing so, he can empower parents, guardians, children, and the community to help one another in a more kind and effective way.
