Hab’s mother died when she was a baby; her father remarried and left her in the care of her grandparents.  Because they were exceptionally poor, Hab had to drop out after 3rd grade. After years of no schooling, she was offered a place at the sewing school. There she learned how to sew, but also took business management classes, English and Khmer language classes, and more.

After graduation, she worked briefly for LHA before taking a position in a clothing factory. The skills she learned at LHA and then the factory gave her the confidence and skills to start her own business. Hab is now 23 and a successful entrepreneur. She credits LHA and their sewing school for completely changing her life.

Hab is involved in following project
