A Kindergarten in Kilimanjaro
Thanks to the support of the GO Community, we were able to support Tuseme’s effort to run a kindergarten in Moshi serving 148 vulnerable children. Because of the education received at the kindergarten, 40 children were able to enroll in primary school. There are 88 remaining children at the kindergarten who are receiving food, care, nursery school education, counseling, and free medicine. On the school premises, Tuseme established a local pharmacy as a way to generate income to sustain the kindergarten. In addition to providing free first aid and basic medical care for all at the kindergarteners, the pharmacy was able to generate 52,000 TSH (about $34) that was used to buy nutritious food for the children.
