Abdul’s Vegetable Patch

Results: Final Report

Thanks to the support of the GO Community, we were able to assist Abdul Hamza Hosa to develop a vocational training program for youth. Abdul utilized grant funds to lease a small plot of land to plant and harvest vegetables and educate other vulnerable youth on growing vegetables as a means to support themselves and their families. During the planting and harvesting seasons, youth worked on the farm learning valuable skills which will allow them to manage their own farms. Two of the youth that participated in the program were able to learn the skills they needed to start their own farms! Moreover, Abdul himself is a former street youth and he is using this opportunity to learn how to manage projects benefitting the community, test best practices, and to network with other organizations working to empower Tanzanian youth. GO Campaign is proud to support Abdul in his efforts to share his skills and talents to help improve the lives of other vulnerable youth in his community.
