Healthy Futures Y2
Thanks to the support of the GO community, Cambodia Health Committee was able to provide educational and health outreach and services for HIV infected and affected children living throughout three districts of Kampot Province: Kampong Trach, Angkor Chey, and Chuok. The mission of CHC is to deliver medical, nutritional, social, and educational care to vulnerable and HIV-infected children. Funds helped provide school uniforms and supplies as well as medical treatment and services to nearly 700 children. CHC reported that they were able to care for many children and their families. Their biggest challenge was reaching everyone who needed services because the families’ home were spread out far across the three districts. Still, the families and children were grateful for the support. They felt less burdened by their circumstances and lack of resources, and the children were able to focus more and do well in school.
