Vocational Training

Results: Final Report

GO’s grant to Africana Community Rehabilitation Organization (ACRO) established a fishpond training center which trained 20 students (7 boys and 13 girls) who attend Mwereni primary school in Moshi to learn the skills of fish harvesting. This vocational training program not only equipped the students with employable skills, but it is allowing them to improve their diet and contribute to their families’ well being. Now that the fishpond is completed and generating income, ACRO can continue to expand the program to teach more students and extend the benefits of harvesting fish.
