Frequently asked questions

  • We ask that you communicate openly with us, use grant funds as outlined in your approved proposal, submit required reports on time, and reach out if you face challenges or need support. Our goal is to work alongside you.

  • In addition to funding, you can request capacity-building support, help with storytelling or communications, guidance on reporting, and connections to other Local Heroes or partners who may be helpful to your work.

  • If something in your project needs to shift, or if you foresee changes to your timeline or spending, please contact GO Campaign as soon as possible. We are flexible when we understand what is happening on the ground.

  • Reach out. Whether it is staffing, programming, financial concerns, or external challenges, we want to understand what is happening and support you through it when we can.

  • Yes. When possible, GO staff or board members may visit to better understand your work and build stronger partnerships. We will coordinate with you well in advance.

  • We are building opportunities for peer learning and connection across countries and programs. Workshops, virtual meetups, and shared resource spaces are being expanded, and we welcome your suggestions.

  • Our partnership doesn’t end with a single grant. Many Local Heroes remain part of the GO Network for years. We continue to stay in touch, explore future opportunities, and support your long-term goals where possible.

  • If you anticipate delays, please let us know right away. We commonly approve timeline extensions when needed, as long as we understand the reason.
