Clinic for Youth with HIV/AIDS

Family Care Clinic | Kenya

This grant supported the launch of a new Youth Zone at the Family Care Clinic (FCC), a welcoming and youth-friendly space designed specifically for adolescents affected by HIV/AIDS. FCC’s mission is to provide comprehensive clinical and psychosocial services to children and youth living with HIV/AIDS, with a strong commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment where they can thrive.

Thanks to the high-quality care and support offered by the clinic, many of these young people are now living longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. The grant played a key role in advancing FCC’s mission by funding essential services and resources tailored to the unique needs and interests of its adolescent patients.

Specifically, the project provided seed funding to train peer educators, establish a youth advisory board, and expand health support and services within the Youth Zone. These initiatives have helped ensure that young people receive not only medical care but also the emotional and social support needed to navigate the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS.
