Watoto CIAO Trust | Kenya

In 2015, GO Campaign provided support for 190 youth with disabilities at Watoto CIAO Trust. Grant funds were used to purchase new therapy equipment, including orthopedic devices and other assistive therapy tools. With the new equipment, Watoto was able to increase their medical therapy services for more children in the community. As of January 2016, the center is proud that they help a “full house” of children and families every day. The therapy services range from helping children learn to sit up independently to even walking by themselves.

Led by Local Hero Simon Mwangi, Watoto CIAO Trust works to empower communities as well as the guardians/parents of disabled children so that the children can experience full social inclusion while obtaining the physical therapy they need.
