In December 2023, GO Campaign provided a grant to Hero Women Rising for the purpose of removing the barriers of menstruation on girls’ schooling in the Mikenge Internal Displacement Camp, South Kivu Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. Hero Women Rising was able to distribute 1,000 reusable menstruation kits to girls through this project. 

Hero Women Rising was founded by Neema Namadamu in 2012 to support rural Congolese women and girls.
