In Nepal’s Makwanpur District, GO Local Hero, Mahesh is leading the charge for a more just and empowered society. With a degree in Economics, he launched a recycled paper business—and used his success to give back to his community. 📚

In 1993, Mahesh founded General Welfare Pratisthan (GWP) to combat sex trafficking and uplift women through education, mentorship, and micro-loans. GWP became a GO Partner in 2011, and since its founding, has impacted over 36,000 girls and their families, helping build brighter, safer futures.

From entrepreneur to activist, Mahesh is the definition of a Local Hero. 💛
