The objective of this grant was for William Kamkwamba to hold a minimum of 3 workshops for youth (defined as ages 25 and under) by October 1, 2010. These workshops were designed to teach youth living in Malawi how to make windmills and repair water pumps. The workshops were conducted in a safe environment and all acts associated with the workshops were legal following the GO Ingenuity Award (GIA) guidelines.
