In 2020 amid the COVID-19 lockdown Watts Community Core was able to offer students a safe place to access their online learning. Through their S.T.R.E.A.M programs students were able to be assisted with their remote learning and improve their academic skills. The mission of Watts Community Core is to ensure that all the youth in Nickerson Gardens have the opportunity to realize their dreams.
